In the previous blog we were talking about a walking meditation. Today we will talk about an incredible labyrinth at the Ritz Carlton. It is my understanding that one of the employees at the Ritz designed and created this in his spare time. Since its creation many people have walked the circle and wondered about the person who put it there.
Who are you that created the circle and laid down all the stones? Who are you that took the time to create this marker? Who are you that created this circle where I stood and thanked you without knowing who you are? How grateful we are that this mystery person took the time to thoughtfully draw the circle then place each and every stone to create the path.
To the person who did this I salute you.
While writing this I decided to make it my mission to find the person who made the labyrinth or find out about the person if they no longer live here. The search has begun this very day for who built the labyrinth and why?
I always love to solve a mystery it makes the child in me alive and I get to feel like I am in a great mystery game. So lets see how long it takes to solve this one. If you read this and know anything please write in the "comment" section. Otherwise check back for the answer.
This is one of the most beautiful places to walk a labyrinth. Imagine the Pacific ocean surrounding you; the waves crashing on the cliff bringing about a wonderful connection to the ocean that excites your senses. Visualize the tips of pine trees from kapalua in the distance bordering the winding roads. Oh yes, then there is the solitary fishermen that I see each time I visit the labyrinth. I often wonder; are they wanting a fish or is this their silent time? Usually I see one or two single men standing with a pole. So peaceful to watch.
Bob (in the picture) is a visitor from Massachusetts who visited the island for a couple of weeks. He and his girlfriend delighted in each day that they were able to indulge in the beauty of Maui. He has a t-shirt on that says Fairhaven, Ma. which connects him with his hometown.
This couple loved the boardwalk at Ironwoods, Hula grill, Sansei's and every drive they took around the island.
